Job Description

SKILLS
  • Monitor & verify against work order for cycle times and mold cavitation on all machines daily, submitting changes to the direct Manager
  • Provide technical support to shift for trouble shooting and problem resolution. Ensure equipment and processes meet and sustain standard production outputs
  • Monitor & record mold performance in order to recommend the best mold and machine combination
  • Work closely with tool room & direct manager for scheduling any tool work and trials that are required
  • Cover vacations and personal time for other technicians
  • Maintain and improve upon existing manufacturing practices for the manufacture of finished goods
  • Provide ideas and corrective actions for ongoing manufacturing issues
  • Work with and assist maintenance; making sure all guards are in place and adding additional guards as needed to assure that all parts are falling in the middle of the conveyor belt or bin
  • Work closely with Team Leads on new ideas to improve processing procedures or on anything that may improve quality or customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the highest quality and fastest cycle on all machines at all times
  • Issue work orders for any work required to be performed to equipment and tooling
  • Training of other Process Technicians or Setters
  • Assist in shut-downs and start-ups and change overs
  • Maintain clean work area of previous materials and tooling and complete necessary paperwork
  • Follow all company policies and procedure
  • Operate overhead crane
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understanding of ERP system
  • Strong organizational, written and communication skills
  • Strong math and analytical skills and technical aptitude
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems
  • Demonstrate personal time management skills
  • Strong understanding of hand tool, crane handling and procedures
  • Strong knowledge in mold set-up, start, mold changes, trouble shooting defects, process adjustments, debugging and shutdown
  • May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency. The list of duties and responsibilities outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks

COMPENSATION / SHIFTS
  • $22/hr. - $27/hr. dependent on experience
  • Monday - Thursday; days 6:00am - 6:00pm and nights 6:00pm - 6:00am
  • Friday - Sunday; days 6:00am - 6:00pm and nights 6:00pm - 6:00am
  • Overtime after 44 hours
