Education and License required:

  • Must possess a ticket in a provincially recognized Industrial Millwright designation (442A)
  • Must have completed Post-secondary electrical engineering technician or technologist, or equivalent formalized study

Your abilities:

  • Work experience in the following:
  • Read and understand machine build blueprints, electrical schematics and systems, and programmable ladder logic diagrams
  • Install, build, test, troubleshoot,repair, calibrate and maintain various systems, devices and equipment in an industrial automation environment
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and industrial robots is an asset

  • Ability to travel to the United States and abroad
  • Physically able to stand, sit and walk for long periods, perform repetitive lifting 30lbs-50lbs (pounds), overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
  • Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English spoken, written and oral

You will be doing:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Install and test electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
  • Provide technical assistance in the installation of the controls, electrical equipment and pneumatic systems at the customer’s site
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Other duties as assigned
