  • Steady Day shift, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week - Possible mandatory or volunteer Saturday shift
  • Hourly wage dependent on skill level and work experience - starting at $20.00 minimum

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years work experience welding aluminum with TIG and MIG
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, weld symbols and identify defects
  • Utilize tape measure in metric and imperial

  • Proficiently use various hand tools
  • Able to work in a team environment and able to also work independently
  • Punctual, Responsible, Dependable, no absenteeism
  • Physically able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
  • Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English read, write, speak

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum plate (primarily 1/8" aluminum plate)
  • Plan the procedure, calculating dimensions and preparing the appropriate materials
  • Perform quality control inspections relative to welding, to ensure high quality products are being shipped
  • Completed all required paperwork
  • Report to Team leader or Shop Foreman, fallow all instructions/directives, and notify of any malfunctioning equipment
  • Keep to assigned work space and ensure work area is clean, safe and organized
  • Help in training new employees and assist coworkers when required to maintain production rates and quality requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Completion of a trade apprenticeship program in welding – CWB - AWB
  • Completion of secondary school education
