Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Millwright for our client in Tilbury. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of industrial machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

OVERVIEW

  • Full Time
  • Continental 12-hour shifts
    • Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
    • Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday
      • Rotation of days and midnights
    • $35.28 (plus shift premium)
    • Must be 433A Certified
    • Must have over 3 years’ experience as a Millwright
    • Requires own transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and determine the best course of action for repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
  • Daily execution of assigned mechanical preventive maintenance tasks, breakdown repairs and planned repairs
  • Communicate with other departments as needed to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Interpret and troubleshoot blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing work

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 433A Certified
  • Must have over 3 years’ experience as a Millwright
  • Must have experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a union environment an asset
  • Physically able to stand, sit and walk for long periods, perform repetitive lifting 30 lbs-50 lbs., overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, read, write and speak in English
