Job Description

Are you motivated to be a part of an industry-leading organization? We are recruiting Machine Tool Builders for large global company and industry-leader in Automation and Assembly.

  • Hourly wage rate dependent on experience and skill level
  • Be available for Day/Afternoon steady and rotation
  • Overtime pay is after 40 hours per week
  • Temporary position, approx. 1 year give or take

Required Abilities and Experience:

  • Have conveyor or other mechanical/machine assembly in manufacturing
  • Able to operate machines and power manual tools such as however not limited to: rivet gun, file, grind, tac weld, drill or turn machine parts is required for this position
  • Providing own tools may be required
  • Read and follow blueprints
  • Very organized
  • Forklift operating (own license not required)
  • Overhead crane operating (own license not required)
  • Physically able to stand, sit and walk for long periods, perform repetitive lifting 30lbs-50lbs (pounds), overhead reaching, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
  • Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English read, write, speak

Job Objectives:

  • To examine and review all relevant blueprints, schematic drawings and layouts to determine appropriate work procedures and the necessary sequence of work operations
  • To assemble and install component parts and equipment into machinery being build using various hand and power tools
  • When required, operate metal working machines to file, grind, tac weld, drill or turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
  • Assist other trades (electricians, pipefitters, robot programmers, PLC programmers) during the try-out and de-bug stages, making all necessary adjustments or alterations to equipment and tooling
  • Perform rigging and dismantling functions when the job is ready to be shipped
  • When required, assist in the re-assembly of equipment at the customer's site and make all necessary adjustments or alterations
  • When requested, provide technical support or feedback related to completed equipment or systems to company personnel
  • Provide technical assistance in the installation of equipment at customer locations for extended periods of time when required
  • Wear personal perfective equipment (PPE) at all time, this includes steel toes CSA safety shoes, safety glasses
  • Other duties as assigned
