Set-up Technician (Injection Molding)

• Hourly wage $18.00+, dependent on prev. experience
• Shifts that are open are to be discussed
• Day/Afternoon rotational shifts - 2 weeks each - Monday to Friday - Day: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm/Afternoon: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (37.5 hrs/week)
• Midnight steady - Sunday to Thursday - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am (37.5 hrs/week)
• Possible Overtime and mandatory Saturday shifts for the Day/Afternoon shift
• Possible Overtime and mandatory Friday nights shift for Midnight shift
  
• Mandatory shifts are currently FREQUENT
• On site parking

Your experience and abilities:

• Minimum three (3) years as a Set-up Technician of Injection Molding Machines REQUIRED
• Operating overhead crane (2000 tons or more) is REQUIRED
• Mechanically inclined; Working knowledge of and impact guns is REQUIRED
• Experience with Press sizes: 140T, 400T, 600T, 1000T, 1300T, 2500T, 3000T
• Forklift experience
• Knowledge of various plastic resins
• Robotics and Programming knowledge
• Job is physically demanding; must be willing and able to able to stand, and walk for long periods of time, perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs, overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
• Ability to effectively communicate, read, write and speak in English

You will be:

• Set-up molds in molding machines, and operate one or more molding machines to mold plastic products
• Setting-up, Preparing and Changing molds and adjust equipment for production line change
• Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment
• Operate overhead crane and forklift as needed for set-ups
• Wear personal perfective equipment (PPE) at all time, this includes steel toes CSA safety shoes, safety glasses and mask
• Perform any other duties, as required
