OVERVIEW
- Contract-to-direct Full Time
- $22 an hour
- 2-5 years of experience in welding and fabrication
- Certification is not required

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use MIG welding equipment to join metal pieces together safely and accurately
- Inspect and test the welds to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and instructions to determine the welding requirements
- Cut, shape, and join metal parts using various welding techniques
- Finish the fabricated component filing, grinding or scraping
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Work with other team members to complete projects on time and on budget
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 years of experience in welding and fabrication
- Must have experience with a variety of power tools
- Strong reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, weld symbols, engineering or design drawings and schematics in both first and third angle projection
- Physically able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, overhead reaching, bending over, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision work
- Collaborative demeanor, attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability are key
- Must provide own PPE - helmet and steel-toed boots
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and take direction in English
