Shift Supervisor / Team Lead Shipping Receivi

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the manufacturing department to consistently meet safety, quality, cost and delivery requirements. Other responsibilities include the scheduling and training of staff, identifying and resolving downtime and operations issues, production reporting and enforcing all Health & Safety standard work procedures.

The qualifications will include, high school diploma (post secondary education is an asset), technical aptitude, previous supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment. (Automotive preferred)

Job Duties:

• Training and managing a staff of more than 25
• Managing a unionized workforce
• Familiarity with computers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Working within a formalized Continuous Improvement Environment, such as TPM or Lean Manufacturing
• Supervise union personal in a manufacturing environment
• Maintain performance standards for production and quality
• Shipping and logistics

• Manufacturing in a mass production environment
• Automotive industry experience as asset
• Experience working with Standards, Quality Systems, 5S environments an asset
• Any Toyota experience or training an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Well organized
• Ability to work as a team
