CNC Setup and Machinist

We are looking for a CNC Setup and Machinist for our client in Mitchell, Ontario .

OVERVIEW:

Hourly wage is based on experience

Full time shift work

40hrs a week standard shift or 36hrs Continental Shift, no travel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviewing work order, preparing tools and materials for equipment setup.

Setup equipment and validate 1^st off part. Operate equipment and perform tool and offset changes.

Frequency measurement and documentation of dimensions as per control plan.

Equipment tooling, coolant and lubricant management.

Clean work cell and handoff to next shift.

Setup and operation of CNC Machining Centers. In process measurement of parts.

Follow 5S and cleanliness protocols of facility.

Logging time against work orders in MRP system.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience operating CNC Lathes / Mills.

Must have experience with Okuma lathes and mills plus Tsugami Swiss Turning Machines within the Aerospace sector

Experience setting up and proving setup (1^st off) in preparation for steady state production.

Blue print reading (GD&T), measurement/metrology.

Experience with smaller high precision components will be an asset.

Basic computer skills.
