Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator is in search of a Boring Mill Operator to join their team
NOTE:
- $29 - $33/hr
- Steady Afternoons, Monday through Thursday 10 hour days.
- Temporary to permanent position
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate Mitsubishi Boring Mill to produce required parts, obtaining the highest quality
- Analyze blueprints and schematic drawings to determine machining processes, dimensions, and assembly procedures using your knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, and machining methodologies
- Program the machine using a Fanuc controller in conjunction with Mastercam machining software
- Recognize the functions of the controller capabilities and program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program
- Operate laser and probe for precision tool and datum pickup
- Adjust machine settings, feeds, and speeds as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Recognize the functions of the specific Controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years' Boring Mill experience; experience with Fanuc controllers (preferred but not required)
- Preference given to experience operating a Mitsubishi Boring Mill
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of G-code, M-code, as well as GD&T principles
- Strong safety focus with attention to detail for precise machining
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
