Support the manufacturing and distillation processes through thorough working knowledge of the manufacturing and distillation equipment.

  • Must be able to follow standard operating procedures for quality, safety and hygiene

  • Willingness to work shift work and overtime on afternoon, night and weekend shifts
  • Ability to sustain exposure to high temperatures

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with Chemical Industry unit operations
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of frequent interruptions/distractions
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to effectively problem solve
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the manufacturing and distillation process and its key elements in:
  • Grain transfer
  • Cooking
  • Fermentation
  • Beer distillation
  • Pot distillation
  • Extractive distillation
  • Drying
  • Multiple Effect Evaporator systems * Operate a computer based process system (Distributive Control System) in order to produce quality distillates from various grains
  • Complete work in Windows based operating software packages (computer training will be required)
  • Take Quality Control samples and perform Quality Control tests throughout the distillation process
  • Assume the emergency response role as required during the unsupervised off shifts (e.g. Fire, Medical Emergency, C.P.R., and First Aid Training)
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Completion of Post Secondary Education
