Job Description



  • Minimum 1-5 years’ working experience within an industrial establishment preferably automotive
  • Must possess skills in dealing with trouble shooting and with strong knowledge in PLC programming along with ABB Robotic experience
  • PLC must be able to read and program
  • General Maintenance duties and mechanical repair skills required – requiring skills for trouble shooting
  • Familiar with ISO 14001 or related training

  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Pneumatic/Hydraulics-Trouble Shooting

  • It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician to perform preventative,planned and emergency maintenance in our Just in Time/Just in Sequence production environment
  • Respond to line calls, trouble shoot and repair equipment to support JIT production
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance procedures
  • Install new plant equipment as required
  • Fabricate fixtures,workstations etc. as required
  • Modify equipment to support: Safety Needs, Quality needs or Efficiency needs.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed
  • Repair damaged or broken equipment and tooling
  • Troubleshoot and Program PLC'S
  • Perform facility related maintenance in general carpentry, plumbing,painting and electrical
  • Perform all duties in a safe (Lock Out) and environmental manner
  • Ensure conformance to all company and legislative policies and procedure and Rules of Conduct
  • Environmental Management
  • WCM-duties as assigned
  • Has the ability to stop production,upon notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager for safety related matters requiring immediate repair
  • Ensuring compliance to and participate in IATF 16949 compliance and ISO 14001 certification
  • Has the ability to stop production upon notifying the Supervisor for quality related nonconforming matters requiring immediate repair
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reports to Maintenance Manger/Production Manager


  • Completion of Grade 12-OSSD required
  • Technical Trade School with 442A or 309A is required


  • Full time direct hire status
  • Hourly rate of pay – $30.90 per hour – per Collective Bargaining Agreement – Overtime Time @ 1.5 rate over 8 hours per day/40 hours per week, double time for Sunday and holidays
  • Shift premium
  • Full time Monday through Friday, supporting 3 shift operations; Saturday and overtime required based on customer service support needs
