Job Description


Enrollment in the CPA certification program is preferred
5+ years of experience in a similar role

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience in general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent ability to meet and exceed deadlines
Ability to manage multiple priorities on time and with accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
IT and network experience would be an asset


Oversee the general accounting function including reviewing processes, maintaining balance sheet schedules and sub-ledgers and reviewing bank reconciliations
 Oversee sales invoicing, payroll function and commodity tax reporting
 Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze variances to budget
 Assign duties to and supervise employees
 Assist with budget and year end processes by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
 Manage capital asset accounting and schedules
 Comply with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
 Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
 Complete various other duties as may be required


Enrollment in the CPA certification program is preferred
Post Secondary education from recognized university in Accounting/Finance/Business
