Post Secondary education from recognized college in travel, business or administration preferred.
Excellent organizational, time management skills is a MUST. The ability to prioritize workload, flexible with hours to be worked. Excellent interpersonal skills, phone skills and administrative skills. The ability to help upgrade on computers for different travel software is required.
Greeting clients coming into busy travel agency, answering phones and forwarding calls to appropriate personnel. Ordering of office supplies, travel brochures and helping with trade show materials. Handling of bank deposits, some light housekeeping within the office. Assisting Owner with travel document preparation. Contacting clients with "Welcome Home" phone calls. Researching travel information for clients with regard to baggage fees, checking in of travel documents for clients. Preparing travel documents for clients. Assisting other travel agents as required with administrative tasks.
POSITION IS MONDAY TO FRIDAY 37.5 HOURS/WEEK MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS - SUMMER HOURS ARE 10:00 AM TO 2:00 PM WINTER HOURS ARE 10:00 AM TO 3:00 PM
HOURS: 9:00 AM TO 5:30 PM OR 9:30 AM TO 5:30 PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
