Job Description

**MUST be able to work on going 40+ hours per week***

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Must have minimum 2 years' of work experience with inventory control AND shipping/receiving in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of inventory control
  • Must have minimum 2 years' forklift operating in a manufacturing and warehouse setting
  • Own valid forklift license
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Punctual, Responsible, Dependable, no absenteeism
  • Physically able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
  • Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English read, write, speak

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify and inspect all incoming and outgoing product for damages and that the information matches the paperwork (i.e.: product numbers and quantities match packing slip etc.)
  • Report to Plant Manager of non conformance and presidencies with incoming and outgoing materials
  • Maintain and document inventory of company and Customer owned packaging (containers/boxes/dunnage)
  • Photograph all packaged product before and before closing of the container (container number, tag, customer information)
  • Communicate with transport companies to arrange shipments
  • Complete Customs Documents for materials being shipped into the USA
  • Complete all required documentation, maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all material movements
  • Follow safe operating procedures. Product must be stacked and stored to avoid poor storage.
  • Operate forklift when required; Maintain own forklift license and practice safe forklift operating
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist in production when required
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent

SHIFTS

  • Monday to Friday steady day shifts
  • Must be available for weekends when required for training, consultations and meetings

HOURLY WAGE

  • $20.00/hr
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit plus 4% vacation pay while a MODERN Staffing employee
  • Overtime may be required, and will be paid 1.5 times the hourly rate if the work week exceeds 44 hours
