Job Summary: Provides administrative and operational support to the logistics team as a employee within the EV battery manufacturing plant. Responsible for data entry, scheduling, attendance, document control, inventory tracking support, and communication with internal teams and external vendors. Ensures timely and accurate documentation of logistics activities to support smooth operations and compliance with internal and external requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily administrative tasks (e.g., preparing shipping documents, receiving logs, inventory reconciliation sheets) • Assist in scheduling inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and suppliers • Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions using WMS/ERP systems • Coordinate with production and quality departments to align material availability • Compile and distribute daily/weekly logistics and inventory reports • Monitor and update spreadsheets for KPIs, safety records, and operational data • Support compliance by organizing safety-related documentation (audits, permits, SOPs) • Assist in processing invoices, purchase orders, and supplier communications • Provide general clerical support such as filing, email response, and ordering office supplies Additional Responsibilities: • Assign DOCK number upon truck arrival • Connect trailer to assigned DOCK • Collect driver’s documents • Confirm cargo arrival and sign-off • Cross-check cargo quantity with documents • Scan raw materials using PDA (log in Teams) • Record arrival, loading/unloading times, trailer number, and forklift driver • Report any issues (dock door, trailer seal, etc.) to manager immediately • Disconnect dock and inform driver once unloading is complete • Ensure compliance with Ontario labor laws (e.g., record break start times in Teams) • Ensure document accuracy and report discrepancies • Handle issues immediately by halting work and informing the manager
Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or logistics support role • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP/WMS preferred • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Experience in manufacturing/logistics operations considered an asset • Forklift certification is an asset • Must be able to work rotating shifts (days/afternoons/nights as required) Employment Type: Shift based work.
