Job Summary: Support logistics operations within the EV manufacturing facility as a employee, ensuring efficient material handling, staging, inventory movement, and general warehouse activities. Responsible for performing physical tasks to assist with shipping, receiving, order picking, and material flow in alignment with production schedules. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment to support cost-effective and timely logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities Perform general warehouse duties including loading/unloading trucks, palletizing, staging, and moving materials. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring proper documentation and handling of materials. Pick, pack, and prepare materials for production and outbound shipments. Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks). Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, staging, and production areas. Support inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, including PPE requirements. Report damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Collaborate with logistics coordinators, warehouse clerks, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow. Assist with material movement to and from production lines to support continuous manufacturing flow. Participate in health and safety training and follow all environmental and EHS regulations, especially with lithium-ion battery materials. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred (but not required). Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory handling. Forklift certification (considered an asset; training may be provided). Strong attention to detail, with good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow safety rules, policies, and procedures consistently. Basic computer literacy an asset (for scanning, ERP/WMS systems). Willingness to work rotating shifts (days/afternoons/nights as required).
Employment Type: · Contract assignment through temp agency, shift-based work within an industrial manufacturing facility. · Warehouse and production floor environment with exposure to industrial machinery, noise, and temperature variations · Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods during shift. · May be exposed to temperature changes, battery components, and manufacturing noise. · Must wear required PPE (eg. Safety boots, vest, hard hat and safety glasses.)
