REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven work history and experience:
- 1+ years of previous machine operating experience (loading/unloading machines, pressing button to cycle machine) an asset not a requirement
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Use of manual hand, cordless and pneumatic power tools; drills, rivet guns, caulking guns, grinders, utility knives and sanders etc.
- Able to correctly use and read a tape measure in imperial and/or metric
- Use of lifting devices (overhead crane) or by hand to transfer materials
- Able to follow procedures such as product inspection/verification procedures, loading and unloading, health & safety
- Willing to learn, and are proactive
- Punctual, Responsible, Dependable, no absenteeism
- Physically able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
- Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English read, write, speak
- Verify materials are correct by matching to the layout sheet, product numbers, descriptions and quantities
- Record discrepancies and damage on paperwork then advise supervisor/management
- Load and line up material, ensure tooling and depths are accurate, then enter program number into keypad
- Be proficient in utilizing various manual and power tools in a safe manner
- Wear personal perfective equipment (PPE) at all times, this includes steel toes CSA safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and all other job specific requirements
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent is required
- Position shift timings is on bus schedule.
- Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week - Possible mandatory overtime on Fridays (6-8 hours)
- Hourly wage is $19- $20.00
