Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator of welding and assembly systems and material handling systems, is in search of an Fabricator to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Select appropriate welding equipment and plan the welding sequence to ensure efficient operations
- Prepare materials by grinding, carbon arc cleaning, scale removal, or beveling to maintain proper welding standards
- Apply the correct weld size according to customer specifications and industry best practices
- Inspect welds for defects using gauges and analysis techniques, performing repairs as needed
- Interpret drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T standards to ensure accurate fabrication
- Layout, position, align, and secure components using measuring tools, clamps, and tack welds
- Shape metal parts with arc or flame cutting equipment to meet specifications or repair damage
- Conduct “Five Why” root cause analysis on all non-conformances to identify and address underlying issues
- Follow company and industry safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of experience
- Read and interpret prints
COMPENSATION:
- $22.00 32.00 / hour (depending on experience)
